Courtney L. Young is the University Librarian at Colgate University and a Past President of the American Library Association (ALA), where she worked with the organization’s Special Presidential Task Force on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. A graduate of the College of Wooster, she received her MLS from Simmons University. Young was previously Head Librarian and Professor of Women’s Studies at Penn State Greater Allegheny, and she’s worked at other campuses of Penn State, as well as at Michigan State and Ohio State. The author and co-author of dozens of academic articles and book reviews, she is a frequent presenter at conferences across the country and around the world.
